FAQ

FAQ Margarita Machines

1. What is included with the rental price?

For starters, you get free delivery and set-up of your machine with full directions from our staff along with instructions if you forget anything after we leave. You also receive:

  • 50 free Cups and Straws
  • Two free flavor mixes of your choice
  • Cart with wheels to hold machine and supplies
  • Extension cord
  • And lastly, pick up and cleaning of your machine so you can enjoy the day after.

2. What will I need to supply?

Water and a dedicated 15 amp power supply. Alcohol if you are having it in your drinks.

3. Don't I need ice?

No. All you do is add the mix with water. The machine creates the slush in the machine in about an hour and a half.

4. What about power?

Yes, your machine will need power. A standard 110/15 outlet with nothing else on the circuit works the best. We will supply an extension cord and suggest you pick a place within 10 feet of the outlet.

5. How much slush will each mix make?

Each 2 litre flavor when mixed with 8 litres of water will yield almost 11 litres of frozen slush with the expansion of the ice. With the two flavors you will have close to 22 litres of frozen beverages which normally keeps 30 guests cool with about 70 - 9 oz. drinks (before alcohol).

6. What if we have a large party?

The more the merrier. Count on two mixes for every 30 guests. If we overestimate don't worry, we will always take back the unopened bottles of mix and credit them back to you.

7. So what do I do with the leftovers?

Well you certainly don't want to pour them down the drain. If you have empty water jugs just fill them with the leftovers and put them in the freezer for your next party.

8. Once the party is over how do you get your machine back?

Don't worry, we are not morning people either! Generally all pick-ups will be made between 10am and 2pm. If you need it picked up earlier, no problem. When we leave the machine we will set up a time to pick it up the next day.

PLEASE NOTE, if we arrive at the agreed pick-up time and nobody is there within 15 minutes you will be assessed a $50 late/return trip fee.

9. If we are adding alcohol to the machine should we reduce the amount of water?

No. The flavors are specially formulated to be mixed with 8 litres of water. Just add alcohol to the 10 litres of prepared mix. 26 to 40 ounces per mix is all you'll need to add.

Helpful Tips

  • Before we arrive buy four - 4 litre jugs of water and put them in the fridge.
  • For cocktails put your alcohol in the freezer. Don't worry alcohol won't freeze.
  • Once we've prepared your first batch in the machine, refill the jugs with water and put them back in the fridge so you’re ready for round two.
  • When the party is over fill up your empty jugs with the leftovers.
  • If the machine is being used outside try to find a shaded area so it doesn't have to work so hard keeping your drinks frozen.
  • Top up the mix in the machine with the supplied containers once the level gets down to about half. This way the machine will re-freeze the added mix in about 20 - 30 minutes instead of having to wait another hour and a half.
  • Be careful not to move the machine around once it is filled with mix. The hoppers may pop off and you will have quite a mess, not to mention fewer drinks.

FAQ Chocolate Fountains

1. What is included with the rental price?

For starters, you get free delivery and set-up of your chocolate fountain with full directions from our staff along with instructions if you forget anything after we leave. You also get to choose your Callebaut fountain chocolate in milk or dark chocolate. The following day we pick up and clean of your fountain so you can enjoy the day after.

2. What will I need to supply?

  • A dressed table or counter top that will accommodate both the chocolate fountain and your dipping item trays/bowls. A 4’ round table works well if there are a lot of children at your function...this way they need parental help to access the fountain.
  • A dedicated 15 amp power supply.
  • The dipping items of your choice (fruit, cookies, pound cake, cream puffs, marshmallows, pretzels, etc.)
  • Skewers or toothpicks
  • Plates and/or napkins

3. How do I know what size fountain and how much chocolate to order?

When you contact our office we will ask you a number of questions to determine the package that suits your function best and whether you should consider ordering any extra chocolate.

4. So what do I do with the leftover chocolate?

If you are interested in keeping the chocolate, please do. Remove it from the fountain base by ladling it into a bowl. Do this while it is still melted or it will be too late once it hardens. We have to discard of all chocolate left in the machine and cannot re-use any of it for sanitary reasons.

3. How many guests will this service accommodate?

We have been offering this service for over three years at a variety of events from 500 person weddings to conferences with over 2000 attendees. Our staff and machines are very efficient at producing two specialty coffees per minute. If we feel that your event is too large for our capabilities we will let you know.

4. What service timeframes do you suggest?

While it is your decision to make, it has been our experience that many people do not drink coffee after a certain time in the evening. If you are looking to offer this service after dinner, then I would suggest a 7pm to 10pm service time in order to maximize the number of guests that will order a drink.

5. What are the different kinds of coffees you make?

With the assortment of flavoring syrups and toppers our attendants can make different varieties of Cappuccino, Latte, Espresso, and Americano coffees.

6. Do you offer just a plain cup of coffee?

No, if you are looking to also offer regular coffee to your guests I would suggest making those arrangements in addition to our service. The closest we can offer to a plain black coffee is an Americano (espresso with added hot water).

7. Do you offer tea or hot chocolate?

No, if you are looking to also offer tea or hot chocolate to your guests I would suggest making those arrangements in addition to our service.
